Ziel ist es, den gesamten Strombedarf Pfaffenhofens mit selbst produziertem Strom aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen zu decken.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mit dem Power-to-Gas-Verfahren des M\u00fcnchner Cleantech-Startups wird \u00fcbersch\u00fcssiger Strom aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen in Biomethan umgewandelt. Das Gas kann dann sp\u00e4ter genutzt werden. Zus\u00e4tzlich wird bei der Erzeugung des Biomethans CO2 aus dem st\u00e4dtischen Kl\u00e4rwerk gebunden. Die Electrochaea-Anlage ist nur ein Bestandteil des Projekts. Insgesamt sollen die \u00f6rtlichen CO2-Emmissionen pro Kopf und Jahr bis 2030 von sechs auf drei Tonnen halbiert werden.\u00a0 <strong>Mich Hein<\/strong>, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer bei Electrochaea, sagt:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201ePfaffenhofen ist ein sehr gutes Beispiel, wie verschiedene Technologien vernetzt werden k\u00f6nnen, um eine saubere und sichere Energieversorgung im Netzma\u00dfstab zu erm\u00f6glichen. Wir hoffen, dass weitere St\u00e4dte und Gemeinden \u00e4hnliche Energiekonzepte umsetzen werden. Pfaffenhofen zeigt, dass es geht.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Electrochaea-Bakterien lassen sich nach Bedarf an- und abschalten<\/h3>\n<p>Electrochaea setzt f\u00fcr sein Verfahren Urzeit-Mikroorganismen, sogenannte Archaeen, ein, die Strom in Methan umwandeln. Da die Mikroorganismen sehr robust sind, k\u00f6nnen die biologischen Power-to-Gas-Reaktoren durch Entzug von Wasserstoff und CO2 an- und abgeschaltet werden &#8212; je nach Bedarf und Energieaufkommen. Das patentierte Verfahren hilft so, das Stromnetz in wind- und sonnenreichen Zeiten zu stabilisieren.
